Job Description

 Roles and Responsibilities: 

At least 2 years of hands-on experience in PostgreSQL Database Administration.

• Install, monitor, and maintain PostgreSQL software, implement monitoring and alerting, implement backup

and recovery processes, provide system and SQL performance tuning .

• Installing and configuring new servers as per request.

• Planning the team structure, activities, and involvement in project management activities.

• Setting up tools and required infrastructure.

• Prepares and/or reviews activity, progress, and performance reports.

• Plans and configures the physical database environment.

• Diagnoses, resolves, and implements preventive measures to prevent problems for availability,

recoverability and performance of all supported database environments.

• Contributed to decreasing need for downtime by developing and improving procedures for automated

monitoring and proactive intervention.

• Proactive in updating the latest security patches to database, which are provided by PostgreSQL open

source community.

• Defining and setting release, update, and support processes for DB operation

• Troubleshooting techniques and fixing the Database issue

• Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible

• Incidence management and root cause analysis

• Coordination and communication within the team and with another technical team

• Strive for continuous improvement.

• Able to work on a 24*7 pattern in rotational shift.

• Annual CTC: 500000 to  700000
